Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain telecom infrastructure architecture, engineering standards, and technical specifications across all data centre facilities.
- Act as the technical lead for telecom infrastructure solutions and provide presales support for customer opportunities and business development initiatives.
- Engage customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to understand customer requirements and propose suitable telecom infrastructure solutions.
- Prepare telecom infrastructure solutions, budgetary estimates, technical proposals, engineering drawings, and scope of work documentation.
- Conduct customer presentations, technical workshops, solution reviews, and design discussions.
- Plan and manage capacity of MMR, TBE, Lead-in riser, ODF, structured cabling systems, fibre infrastructure, cable containment systems, and telecom resources.
- Review telecom infrastructure layouts, cable routing designs, containment systems, and engineering submissions to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise on structured cabling systems, fibre optic infrastructure, connectivity products, telecommunications services, and data centre telecom engineering practices.
- Support data centre expansion projects, customer deployments, telecom infrastructure enhancement works, and strategic development initiatives.
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, technical assessments, and engineering evaluations for telecom infrastructure projects.
- Evaluate construction methodologies, cable containment solutions, loading requirements, pathway designs, and installation approaches for telecom infrastructure works.
- Conduct technology evaluations, product assessments, and proof-of-concept testing for new products and services.
- Establish and maintain telecom infrastructure standards, technical specifications, engineering drawings, and design guidelines.
- Support development of new connectivity products and infrastructure services.
- Support procurement activities through technical evaluations, vendor assessments, product selection processes, and tender activities.
- Coordinate with Project Delivery, Connectivity Service Delivery, FM, Network, Systems, consultants, contractors, and vendors on telecom infrastructure planning and design matters.
- Prepare technical reports, capacity reports, budget forecasts, business cases, and management presentations.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives related to telecom infrastructure and connectivity services.
Requirements:
- Degree or above in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
- 10-15 years' experience in data centre telecommunications infrastructure, structured cabling systems, telecom engineering, telecom containment construction.
- Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in data centre telecom infrastructure planning, solution design, engineering management, technical consultancy, and presales support.
- Solid experience in structured cabling systems, fibre optic infrastructure, ODF systems, MMR environments, cable containment systems, and telecom infrastructure construction.
- Familiar with data centre cable containment design, cable routing planning, pathway loading calculations, telecom room design, lead-in facility design, and infrastructure expansion planning.
- Familiar with ANSI/TIA-568, ANSI/TIA-942, ISO/IEC 11801, BICSI standards, and structured cabling industry best practices.
- Good understanding of data centre infrastructure design, interconnection environments, carrier-neutral facilities, and connectivity services.
- Experience supporting hyperscale data centre customers, cloud service providers, or large-scale enterprise deployments is highly preferred.
- Experience in hyperscale data centre design, high-density fibre infrastructure planning, MMR architecture, carrier interconnection environments, and large-scale data centre expansion projects would be an advantage.
- Possession of BICSI RCDD, CDCP/CDCS/CDCE, PMP, or equivalent industry certifications is preferred.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, planning, customer engagement, and stakeholder management skills.
