Job Description
Objectives
- Support the operations and maintenances activities of network/hosting infrastructure, and in-country customer fronting & support.
- Understanding of multi-networking infrastructures, systems, links and facilities required for providing Telco WAN, data, voice, hosting, cloud and internet services (e.g. MMR, Switch support activities).
- Provide pre‑sales support to Product and Sales regarding to colocation services.
- Provide post-sales operations support to corporate customers.
- Promote, drive working relationships with local carriers/ service providers, Joint‑Venture Partners, equipment vendors to build/influence good rapport in the interests of the Group.
- Manage DC operation‑related costs (Capex and Opex) within allocated budget.
- Negotiate with local suppliers, service providers for local operations procurement/ contract renewal, to achieve quality and cost‑effective operations resources delivery.
- Daily house‑keep/ maintenance of DC infrastructure facilities (Powe, air‑con, cooling, etc) and customer hosted equipment 1st level/remote hands support and site access/visits.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Data Center environment facilities and the maintenance to ensure facilities stable.
- Responsible for Data Center physical security, including physical access and security monitoring.
- Ensure all activities in Data Center are properly approved and logged.
- Responsible for incident management process; and act as incident manager to ensure all production incidents are properly follow up in a timely manner and resolved with solution.
- Responsible for the layout and inventory in Data Center.
- Manage suppliers to ensure all purchases for Data Center have high‑cost efficiency and high service level.
- Provide pre‑sales support for RFQ and RFP activities.
- Responsible for ISO 27001 internal and external audit.
- Responsible for handle OPEX and CAPEX.
- Developing/documenting procedures and to streamline interworking process flow to achieve continuous improvement in operation efficiency, cost‑effectiveness and quality of service for our customers.
- Track and monitor the team’s operation KPIs targets’ achievement.
- Ensure maintenance/up‑keep of proper record of all Data Center activity and records of customer information, capital assets and other relevant inventories.
- Ensure timely submission of relevant reports as required by the customer or management.
- Ensure an effective of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and DR plan is always in place and well known by all the staffs.
- Perform risk analysis and assessment to the operations, plan and execute the corresponding responses plan.
- Any other duties as assigned by the team leader/Technical Director.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electronic/Telecommunication/ICT or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Data Centre operations and ISO27001 is required.
- CCNA certification or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Resourceful, innovative and independent worker.
- High customer service focus and engagement skills.
- Knowledge of Power, HVAC, Fire Suppression System, Servers knowledge is would be an advantage.
- Possess good leadership, teamwork, effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English, Mandarin & local native language.
- Minimum 3-4 Years related working experience in telecommunication service industry or Data Center operation.
