Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is seeking a Manager, Strategic Procurement (Business Analytics) to lead data‑driven procurement initiatives. You will maintain supplier data, support onboarding, run risk assessments, and develop dashboards to track KPIs.

You will partner with business units to drive process automation, govern supplier lifecycle, and translate strategic goals into practical analytics, requiring strong analytical, stakeholder‑management, and project leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in a related discipline; minimum 5 years of management experience; proven track record in project management and business process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support SPRO process improvement initiatives by assisting in service improvement and efficiency initiatives across business units.
• Gather, analyze, and report performance metrics and KPIs to inform decision-making and measure success.
• Review processes and service delivery touchpoints to identify issues, propose resolutions, and implement continuous improvement measures; create process flowcharts and operating models.
• Develop and maintain training materials and communication protocols to support changes and staff engagement.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to promote transparency and collaboration throughout the improvement process.

Job Summary

The job holder will support Strategic Procurement (SPRO) Supplier Management by maintaining the supplier master database, managing supplier onboarding, conducting supplier risk assessments, preparing digital reports, and handling related administrative duties to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and effective supplier lifecycle management. The role also supports SPRO operational efficiency and service excellence across SPRO and the wider organization by developing and improving processes, best practices, and governance frameworks. Key responsibilities include partnering with business units to monitor KPIs and performance dashboards, driving process automation, and maintaining operational guidelines and procedures. The position requires strong analytical, problem‑solving, AI, and digital skills, along with effective stakeholder management and the ability to turn strategic objectives into practical, data‑driven solutions.

The Job

• Support process improvement initiatives by assisting in the identification and implementation of service improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across various business units.
• Gather, analyze, and report on performance metrics and operational data to inform decision‑making and measure success against established KPIs.
• Regularly review processes and service delivery touchpoints to identify issues, propose resolutions, and implement continuous improvement measures. Create and develop process flowcharts and operating models to map out business operations processes and tasks, and monitor progress with business functions. Create and oversee operational guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Support the evaluation of implemented initiatives to ensure they meet business requirements and operational standards.
• Assist in the development of training materials and communication protocols to support operational changes and improve staff engagement.
• Facilitate effective communication and engagement with stakeholders throughout the improvement process to promote transparency and collaboration.
• Provided administrative support for related activities and processes.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Manager.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience.
• Proven experience in project management and business process improvement or optimisation.
