The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd invites applications for the role of Manager (Professional Development). Based at Ap Lei Chau, you will partner with engineers to identify training needs and design programmes for the Transmission and Distribution Division, focusing on operational, technical and safety training.

You will monitor progress, guide trainees and apprentices, evaluate programmes and prepare budgets, and coordinate HK Electric Institute training activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Education, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in designing, planning and organising training programmes with at least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience in public utility and/or handling HKIE's Scheme A Training Programme and Vocational Training Council’s Apprenticeship Programmes an advantage.
• Proficiency in PC applications and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and Chinese typing skill.
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese languages.
• Holder of a valid driving licence for Class 1 vehicles.

Reporting to the Chief Manager (Loss Prevention & Training), the appointee will perform the following responsibilities:

To partner with engineers and stakeholders to identify training needs and formulate strategies of training programmes for employees of the Transmission and Distribution Division

To design, plan and deliver operational, technical and safety training

To monitor training progress and provide advice and guidance to engineering trainees and apprentices

To evaluate training programmes and prepare training analyses and budgets

To coordinate training activities for HK Electric Institute

Requirements:
