The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd invites a capable Loss Prevention & Training professional to design and oversee training programmes for engineers and trainees. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will plan, monitor, and refine training initiatives to meet objectives while ensuring safe, compliant practices.
You will lead a team of engineering trainees, drive training development, assess effectiveness, and maintain documentation.
Reporting to the Senior Manager (Loss Prevention & Training), the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
To assist in designing, planning, and organising training programmes for employees, including engineering trainees
To monitor training progress of trainees and apprentices to ensure alignment with training objectives
To support identification of training needs and development of training strategies
To evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and recommend improvements
To supervise and manage a team of engineering trainees, ensuring performance and development targets are met
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering
Knowledge in training program development, training need analysis and related training documentation
Experience in public utility and/or handling HKIE's Scheme A Training Programme and Vocational Training Council’s Apprenticeship Programmes for trainees an advantage
Self-motivated with strong supervisory skills, execution capabilities and results-oriented mindset
Good computer skills of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and Chinese typing skill
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese languages
Holder of a valid driving licence for Class 1 vehicles
Working Location: Ap Lei Chau, transportation will be provided
on or before 2 September 2026
