Job summary

Hong Kong Trade Development Council invites applications for a Manager, Entertainment Industry on a fixed‑term 5‑month contract. The role leads entertainment event marketing, liaises with international partners and coordinates media campaigns for film and entertainment sectors.

The candidate will manage on-site support, seminars, roadshows and related activities across local and overseas markets, requiring strong English and Putonghua skills and proven project management.

Qualifications

• Experience in event marketing and social media promotion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate entertainment-related event marketing plan; social media promotion and execute marcom activities in local, mainland China, Asian and international markets.
• Liaise with overseas offices, external and internal parties to develop and implement marketing programmes and messages.
• Identify partners of media and marketing channels and work with industry influencers to boost project impact.
• Manage photography and video productions, advertising campaigns and content marketing for film and entertainment sectors.
• Conduct local and overseas marketing programmes, such as seminars and roadshows, to generate business enquiries.
• Provide on-site support and other administrative tasks as needed.
• Take up other ad hoc projects and tasks when necessary.

Manager, Entertainment Industry (5 Months contract)

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks dynamic, high-caliber and experienced professionals to join our Wellness and Creative Industries Cluster. To strengthen Hong Kong's role as Asia's international business platform, we organise more than 30 world-class international trade fairs in Hong Kong each year. These fairs, which cover various industries and sectors, create opportunities for companies to promote their products or services to buyers from all over the world.

Responsibilities

• Initiate entertainment-related event marketing plan; social media promotion and execute the marcom and publicity communication activities in local, mainland China, Asian and international markets for achieving the KPI targets;
• Liaise with overseas offices, external and internal parties, including co-organiser, strategic partners, local and overseas trade/industry associations, to develop and implement consolidated marketing programmes and messages;
• Identify and establish relevant partners of media and marketing channels, industry-specific KOL and social media worldwide for boosting the marketing impact for projects;
• Manage photography and video productions, advertising campaigns and content marketing for film and entertainment sectors;
• Conduct local and overseas marketing programmes, such as seminars and roadshows, etc, for generating business enquiries;
• Provide on-site support and other administrative support as and when necessary;
• Take up other ad hoc projects and tasks when necessary.

Requirements

• A recognised university degree with at least 8 years’ working experience, preferably with sizable organisations in sales and marketing;
• Extensive experience in event marketing and social media promotion is a plus
• Self-motivated with good project management skills;
• A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and good at attending to details;
• Innovative, flexible and able to deliver under time and resource pressure;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
• Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong economy, trade and business arena;
• Knowledge of film and entertainment sectors and previous experience in organising marketing programmes and implementing marketing messages for content, exhibition and/or conference would be an added advantage.
