Job summary

CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Bills Operations professional to ensure timely and accurate checking and processing of import and export bills, including L/C related activities.

The role requires high attention to controls, customer advisory on discrepancies, data input into the Bills System, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure. A degree is required, with CDCS preferred and at least 8 years' hands-on experience in bills operations.

Qualifications

• Degree holder with 8+ years hands-on experience in Bills operations and 3+ years in documentary checking.
• Thorough knowledge of international trade rules and HK banking regulations.
• Working knowledge of Bills system and customer enquiry handling.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with established controls and procedures.
• Processes timely and proper checking in import and export L/C bills.
• Handles import and export collection bills properly.
• Advises customers on discrepancies and possible solutions.
• Provides professional advice on L/C Transfer and Back to Back L/C.
• Follows up irregular import/export bills diligently.
• Inputs data speedily and accurately via Bills System.
• Addresses customer enquiries with professional guidance.
• Keeps supervisors informed of errors and irregularities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with established controls and procedures.

• Processes timely and properly in import and export L/C bills checking.

• Handles import and export collection bills properly.

• Advises customers of any discrepancies and irregularities detected, suggests solutions and follow-up properly.

• Provides professional advices to customers in respect of L/C Transfer and Back to Back L/C.

• Follow-up irregular import and export bills properly and diligently.

• Inputs data speedily and accurately via Bills System.

• Handles customer enquiries and provides professional advice to customers.

• Keeps supervisors informed of error, special cases and irregularities occurred and seeks their advice for appropriate action.

• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree holder or above, CDCS preferred

• 8 years hands-on experience in Bills operations with at least 3 years of documentary checking experience

• Thorough knowledge of established uniform rules and regulations in relating to international trade, the relevant regulations of The Hong Kong Association of Banks and the related legal implications.

• Working knowledge of Bills system related to bills processing

• Ability to handle customer enquiries and provide professional advice

• Fast and accurate data input
