Job summary

DZ Bank AG Hong Kong Branch is seeking a seasoned Trade Finance Operations Leader to oversee daily operations and drive process optimization, digitization and system enhancements in collaboration with business, compliance and technology teams.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor's in Finance, Economics or Banking, and at least 10 years in trade finance operations with 3 years in supervision. Strong risk awareness and a commitment to service quality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Register transactions and input data through Documentary Business System and other IT applications
• Check / process import / export L/C document and collection
• Processes L/C opening, L/C advising, letter of transfer, shipping guarantee, trust receipt loan, guarantee, L/C risk participation, Trade loan and other structured trade products
• Check customer credit limits for trade finance transactions and obtain approval for any excess
• Answer general enquiries from customers and banks
• Report FX rate / interest rate / funding position to Treasury Department
• Act as checker and second-level reviewer for trade finance transactions, documents, system entries, SWIFT and payment messages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, proper authorization and compliance with applicable policies and procedures

In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the role will lead process optimization, digitization, system enhancements, and automation initiatives, working closely with business, compliance, technology, and other stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and support the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities
