Job summary

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd is seeking a competent credit professional in Hong Kong to facilitate new and renewal credit applications for corporate and SME clients. You will prepare high-quality credit proposals with in-depth financial analysis, industry research and business assessment, and provide independent risk recommendations.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business/Finance/Risk Management or related discipline.
• ECF-CRM is preferred.
• Experience in credit analysis for corporate/SME customers.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate new and renewal credit applications for corporate and SME customers
• Prepare quality credit proposals, including in-depth financial analysis, thorough industry research and business analysis
• Evaluate customer's risk profile and give independent recommendations on potential risks and mitigation measures
• Ensure compliance with Bank’s internal policies and procedures relating to lending and other credit-related areas as well as the regulatory requirements within day to day operations
• Ensure approved credit lines are in compliance with the Bank’s approved overall and specific credit policies
• Support RM teams in addressing credit queries and liaise with the Credit Division on credit-related matters
• Monitor the processing of credit applications concerning credit issues, special approvals or date postponement required, and conduct interim reviews of any accounts when needed

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines
• Holder of ECF-CRM is preferred
• Minimum 4 years of experience in credit and financial analysis or related functions for corporate / commercial / SME customers
• Knowledge of local economic / industrial conditions, banking laws and practices and related lending products
• Detailed-oriented, good analytical and report writing skills with sound credit judgment
• Team player with tactful interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Chinese and Putonghua
