Job summary

Blue Cross in Hong Kong is seeking a results-driven insurance professional to supervise agents, drive business growth, and deliver compliant, customer‑first outcomes across the sales cycle.

You will build solid partner relationships, provide quotations and guidance to clients and intermediaries, manage marketing projects, ensure licensing with the Insurance Authority, and lead cross‑functional initiatives from product development to service enhancements.

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma as listed; meets licensing criteria.
• Passes in IIQE Paper 1 & 2 required; licensing eligibility.
• IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF qualifications advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant insurance experience.
• Sales oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in English and Chinese; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head of Business Development – Agent & Broker in supervisory duties.
• Achieve company business targets and individual sales targets.
• Develop new business partnerships and strong relationships.
• Provide quotations and advice to clients/intermediaries; handle inquiries.
• Manage marketing projects, campaigns, product development.
• Obtain and maintain insurance agent license with the Insurance Authority; advise on contracts.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.

About the Role

This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Business Development – Agent & Broker to perform supervisory duties;
• To achieve Company’s business targets and achieve individual sales targets;
• To develop new business partner with solid relationship building;
• Provide quotation & advice to clients / intermediaries as well as handle services & product enquiries;
• Manage projects including marketing activities, promotional campaigns, product development, etc.;
• Obtain and maintain license as an individual insurance agent of Blue Cross with the Insurance Authority, and, where necessary, upon successful licensing as individual insurance agent with the Insurance Authority, advise on or arrange contracts of insurance or carry on regulated activity;
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration or related disciplines, or Diploma in insurance or related disciplines;
• Fulfilment of the fit and proper criteria of the Insurance Authority for licensing as an individual insurance agent of the Company, and the minimum education and qualifications requirements, including but not limited to passes in IIQE Paper 1 & 2 [subject to the regulated activities to be conducted];
• Qualified IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF (Senior Associate) or other related professional insurance qualifications an advantage;
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in insurance industry.
• Sales oriented, positive and can work under pressure;
• A team player with great initiative, positive and good interpersonal skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
