Job summary

AIA Shared Services is seeking a driven insurance sales professional to support the Head of Business Development – Agent & Broker in achieving targets and expanding the partner network in Hong Kong. You will handle quotations, client inquiries, and supervise activities while maintaining licensing requirements.

Ideal candidates have a university degree or diploma in insurance, 5+ years in the industry, and strong English/Chinese communication with a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration or related disciplines, or Diploma in insurance or related disciplines.
• IIQE Papers 1 & 2 passes (subject to regulated activities) for licensing as an individual insurance agent.
• IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF (Senior Associate) or related professional qualifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in insurance industry; sales oriented, able to work under pressure.
• Team player with initiative, positive and good interpersonal skills.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Business Development – Agent & Broker to perform supervisory duties.
• Achieve Company’s business targets and individual sales targets.
• Develop new business partners with solid relationship building; provide quotations and advice to clients/intermediaries; handle services & product enquiries.
• Manage projects including marketing activities, promotional campaigns, product development; obtain and maintain license as an insurance agent; advise on or arrange contracts of insurance or regulated activity.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head of Business Development – Agent & Broker to perform supervisory duties
• To achieve Company’s business targets and achieve individual sales targets
• To develop new business partner with solid relationship building Provide quotation & advice to clients / intermediaries as well as handle services & product enquiries
• Manage projects including marketing activities, promotional campaigns, product development, etc. Obtain and maintain license as an individual insurance agent of Blue Cross with the Insurance Authority, and, where necessary, upon successful licensing as individual insurance agent with the Insurance Authority, advise on or arrange contracts of insurance or carry on regulated activity
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration or related disciplines, or Diploma in insurance or related disciplines
• Fulfilment of the fit and proper criteria of the Insurance Authority for licensing as an individual insurance agent of the Company, and the minimum education and qualifications requirements, including but not limited to passes in IIQE Paper 1 & 2 [subject to the regulated activities to be conducted]
• Qualified IIQAS, LOMA, ANZIIF (Senior Associate) or other related professional insurance qualifications an advantage
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in insurance industry. Sales oriented, positive and can work under pressure
• A team player with great initiative, positive and good interpersonal skills
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
