Job summary

The Education University of Hong Kong invites applications for an Executive Officer II in the Research and Development Office. The role focuses on administrative support for Chinese Mainland grant applications and the SZRI development, coordinating related activities and managing grant processes.

The appointee will assist in formulating strategic initiatives, organize activities to promote Mainland funding opportunities, and support partnerships with Mainland and global entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of post-qualification executive-level experience, preferably in tertiary education institutions.
• Knowledge of Chinese Mainland organizations and grant processing is advantageous.
• Good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for Chinese Mainland grant applications and SZRI grant activities.
• Manage projects and applications for Chinese Mainland grants and internal funding schemes.
• Organize activities and marketing initiatives to promote Chinese Mainland funding opportunities.
• Assist with externally organized activities by funding bodies and process Chinese Mainland and global research agreements.
• Support establishment of Chinese Mainland and global partnerships, collaboration and networking.
• Monitor in-house systems for SZRI grant applications; handle ad hoc duties as assigned.
• Occasional travel to Mainland China may be required.
