Job summary

Lenovo in Hong Kong is seeking a dedicated Data Center Operations professional to oversee data center infrastructure, coordinate preventive maintenance, and act as the first escalation point for incidents.

You will manage access control, environmental patrols, helpdesk support, and inventory, while preparing operational reports and working a 24/7 shift. A higher qualification and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations.
• Willingness to work on a 24/7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data center infrastructure including power, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
• Act as the first point of escalation for incidents and coordinate responses.
• Manage visitor access and equipment movement following security protocols.
• Perform routine environmental patrols to maintain safe operating conditions.
• Provide timely helpdesk support and troubleshoot user inquiries.
• Assist with inventory checks, site maintenance, and preparation of operational reports.

Job Duties

• Facility Monitoring: Oversee data center infrastructure including power, cooling, fire suppression systems, and coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors.
• Incident Problem Management: Act as the first point of escalation, coordinating responses to incidents and assisting in problem resolution.
• Access Control: Manage visitor entry and equipment movement to ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
• Environmental Patrols: Conduct routine inspections to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
• Helpdesk Support: Provide timely assistance to users by handling inquiries, requests, and troubleshooting issues.
• Operational Support: Assist with inventory checks, site maintenance, and preparation of operational reports

Job Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations (candidates with less experience may also be considered)
• Customer-oriented with passion, patience, and caring attitude.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player with positive attitude, proactive, detail and result oriented mindset, fast learner, able to change, able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to work on a 24/7 shift rotation
