Job summary

Lenovo in Hong Kong is seeking a hands-on Data Center Operations specialist to monitor facilities, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure smooth, secure daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle incident escalation, access control, environmental patrols, and helpdesk support while collaborating with a capable team to deliver reliable services around the clock.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data center operations experience.
• Customer-oriented with passion, patience, and caring attitude.
• Willingness to work on a 24/7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Facility Monitoring: oversee data center infrastructure and coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors.
• Incident & Problem Management: act as the first point of escalation, coordinating responses to incidents and assisting in problem resolution.
• Access Control: manage visitor entry and equipment movement to ensure strict compliance with security protocols.
• Environmental Patrols: conduct routine inspections to maintain a safe and efficient operating environment.
• Helpdesk Support: provide timely assistance to users by handling inquiries, requests, and troubleshooting issues.
• Operational Support: assist with inventory checks, site maintenance, and preparation of operational reports.

Job requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations (candidates with less experience may also be considered)
• Customer-oriented with passion, patience, and caring attitude.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player with positive attitude, proactive, detail and result oriented mindset, fast learner, able to change, able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willingness to work on a 24/7 shift rotation
