We're seeking someone to join our Asia Securities Lending Technology team as a Senior Development Lead Role in PBSFT to support continuous growth of Asia Securities Lending business and development team. In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Developer position at Vice President level. What you'll do in the role:
  • Candidate must have a desire to take full ownership of every aspect of the SDLC on assigned deliverables, from requirements and analysis through testing and deployment.

  • Candidate must be a hands-on developer in Java/Scala.

  • Candidate is expected to work closely with the securities lending trading desk to gather requirements, innovate and architect solutions, both on premises and using public cloud technologies.

  • Strong communication skills are a must as this role will entail heavy stakeholder interaction with the trading business

What you'll bring to the role:
  • At least 12 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.

  • Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.

  • Proficient in Java/Scala with a strong algorithmic and data structures background

  • Experience working directly with a front office trading function

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

  • Relational database design and SQL
