Job summary

SGS Hong Kong Limited is seeking an experienced professional to conduct a wide range of laboratory tests, including proficiency testing and method validation, in a rigorously quality-controlled environment.

The role requires 5+ years of lab experience, hands-on testing, data analysis, and potential staff supervision. You will calibrate equipment, verify methods, and contribute to continuous improvement while maintaining thorough records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in physical testing, preferably in an accredited lab.
• Hands-on experience in laboratory testing and data analysis.
• Experience supervising or coaching staff is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests independently, including proficiency testing and correlation studies.
• Review, analyse and verify testing data to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality requirements.
• Validate and verify laboratory-developed and non-standard test methods per approved protocols and interpret results.
• Carry out equipment calibration and performance checks per standards and accreditation requirements.
• Analyze calibration data and support measurement uncertainty estimation.
• Investigate testing issues, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate testing, calibration and validation records in line with lab quality systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency and capabilities.
