Job summary

SGS Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Assistant Technical Services Manager for Hardlines, Toy, and Physical testing. You will lead the laboratory quality management system to ensure ISO 17025 compliance, drive audits and continuous improvement, and safeguard test data integrity and report confidentiality.

You will guide test development, manage LIMS, and coordinate with internal teams and customers. The role demands strong English and Chinese skills, mature leadership, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Science, Physics or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory/technical services experience; toy testing is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Mature, proactive and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the laboratory quality management system to ensure ISO 17025 compliance.

Assistant Technical Services Manager (Hardlines, Toy, Physical)

Lead and maintain the laboratory quality management system to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and relevant accreditation requirements.

Plan and conduct internal audits and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of laboratory data and test reports.

Lead new test development, method improvement and R&D projects to support business growth.

Investigate and resolve customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Manage and maintain the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Evaluate and manage external service providers and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance requirements are met.

Provide technical guidance and compliance support to internal teams and customers.

Lead team development, including recruitment, manpower planning, performance management and staff training.

Build and implement training and development plans aligned with business objectives and employee growth.

Support operational excellence and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Science, Physics or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; experience in toy testing is an advantage.

Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Mature, proactive and able to work independently.

Analytical, detail-oriented and solution-driven.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin.

Experience in testing, quality assurance, compliance or technical services is preferred.

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Technical Service Executive.
