Hohenstein Laboratories (Hong Kong) is expanding its chemical team and seeks an Assistant Chemist to conduct routine tests and support laboratory operations. You will ensure instruments run smoothly, uphold ISO 17025 standards, and communicate progress and issues clearly to the supervisor.

The role requires a chemistry degree, about one year of lab experience, and familiarity with common analytical instruments. English proficiency is essential; overtime flexibility is expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Degree or above in Chemistry or related subject.
• 1 year of experience in chemical testing laboratory.
• Familiarity with operating and maintenance of analytical instruments (GC-MS/MS, LC-DAD/MSMS, ICP-OES, AAS, UV-Vis).
• Self-motivated, independent, good problem-solving skills, and good communication skills.
• Good organization and interpersonal skills with ability to build internal/external relationships.
• Flexible to work overtime.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsabilités

• Carry out routine chemical testing according to SOP.
• Monitor instrument performance and maintain daily operations to meet turnaround times.
• Ensure ISO 17025 compliance in laboratory operations.
• Report progress, deficiencies and malfunctions to supervisor.
• Identify and report potential problems within the analytical chemistry lab to supervisor.
