Job summary

Swire Properties is seeking a Building Engineer to join the Technical Team at Taikoo Place in Hong Kong. The role leads a team of engineers and technicians to manage building services, retrofitting projects, and energy conservation initiatives.

The candidate should have a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering with at least 5 years of experience, and ideally be Chartered or HKIE member. Proficiency in English and Chinese is required, with AutoCAD familiarity a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree holder or higher diploma in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Chartered Engineer or HKIE membership preferable.
• Grade C Registered Electrical Worker is an advantage.
• Good communication skills; ability to work with people at all levels.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Good PC skills; familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Willing to attend emergency call outside normal office hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Assistant Engineers, Technical Supervisors and Technicians to operate, repair and maintain the Building Services system for Taikoo Place.
• Design, specify and implement tenancy improvement works and engineering retrofitting projects within the portfolio.
• Liaise with contractors and consultants.
• Attend emergency callouts.
• Prepare maintenance budgets.
• Plan and implement long-term maintenance.
• Monitor tenants’ fit-out works.
• Monitor energy conservation and related environmental issues.
