Job summary

Swire Properties Limited in Hong Kong’s Taikoo Place invites a skilled Building Engineer to join our Technical Team. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians to operate, repair and maintain the Building Services system across the portfolio.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD is advantageous. English and Chinese fluency, plus willingness to respond to out-of-hours emergencies, are

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Chartered Engineer or HKIE member is preferable.
• Grade C Registered Electrical Worker is an advantage.
• Good communication skills; ability to work with people at all levels.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Willing to attend emergency callouts outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Assistant Engineers, Technical Supervisors and Technicians to operate, repair and maintain Building Services for Taikoo Place.
• Design, specification and implementation of tenancy improvement works and engineering retrofitting projects within the portfolio.
• Liaise with contractors and consultants.
• Attend emergency callouts.
• Prepare maintenance budgets.
• Plan and implement long-term maintenance.
• Monitor tenants’ fit-out works.
• Monitor energy conservation and related environmental issues.

We are currently looking for a talented Building Engineer to join our Technical Team in Hong Kong’s leading decentralized office area – Taikoo Place. With top-flight technological facilities and an integrated community, Taikoo Place is a thriving hub of 10 interconnected office towers that has seen continuous upgrading and expansion. Our Technical Team of specialised engineers and building surveyors are dedicated professionals who drive our sustainable practices forward, make cutting-edge enhancements to our buildings so Taikoo Place is even more exceptional, and support our daily operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of Assistant Engineers, Technical Supervisors and Technicians to carry out the operation, repair and maintenance of the Building Services system for Taikoo Place

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree holder or higher diploma in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experiences
• Chartered Engineer or member of HKIE is preferable
• Grade C Registered Electrical Worker is an advantage
• Good communication skills; ability to work with people at all levels
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese
• Good PC skills, familiar with AutoCAD is an advantage
• Willing to attend emergency call outside normal office hour
