Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong’s Taikoo Place is seeking a Building Engineer to lead a technical team responsible for operation, repair and maintenance of Building Services across the portfolio.

You will design tenancy improvements, coordinate retrofitting projects, and liaise with contractors and consultants. The role involves emergency callouts, budgeting and long-term maintenance to support energy efficiency and high standards.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Chartered Engineer or HKIE member preferred.
• Grade C Registered Electrical Worker an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Chinese required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers to operate, repair and maintain the Building Services system for Taikoo Place.
• Design, specification and implementation of tenancy improvement works and retrofitting projects.
• Liaise with contractors and consultants.
• Attend emergency callouts.
• Prepare maintenance budgets.

We are currently looking for a talented Building Engineer to join our Technical Team in Hong Kong’s leading decentralized office area – Taikoo Place. Our Technical Team of specialised engineers and building surveyors are dedicated professionals who drive our sustainable practices forward, make cutting-edge enhancements to our buildings so Taikoo Place is even more exceptional, and support our daily operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead a team of Assistant Engineers, Technical Supervisors and Technicians to carry out the operation, repair and maintenance of the Building Services system for Taikoo Place
• Responsible for design, specification and implementation of tenancy improvement works and engineering retrofitting projects within the portfolio
• Liaise with contractors and consultants
• Attend emergency callout
• Prepare maintenance budgets
• Plan and implement long-term maintenance
• Monitor tenants’ fit-out works
• Monitor on-going assessment of energy conservation and related environmental issues

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree holder or higher diploma in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experiences
• Chartered Engineer or member of HKIE is preferable
• Grade C Registered Electrical Worker is an advantage
• Good communication skills; ability to work with people at all levels
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese
• Good PC skills, familiar with AutoCAD is an advantage
• Willing to attend emergency call outside normal office hour
