Key Responsibilities
- Support client acquisition by identifying potential institutional clients and assisting senior team members across origination and client onboarding workflows.
- Introduce and articulate the firm's electronic trading solutions to institutional clients and prospects, covering low-latency API/FIX connectivity, portfolio margin and combo strategy offerings.
- Act as a primary point-of-contact for assigned institutional accounts, resolving trade-related enquiries, margin issues and system connectivity troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate the firm's sub-account architecture for prospects, illustrating how clients can leverage our sophisticated trading infrastructure without heavy in-house system development.
- Support clients to optimise end-to-end trade lifecycles by utilising our automated risk management framework as well as options exercise and assignment workflows.
- Track market flows and gather client feedback; feed actionable insights to internal product and engineering teams to iterate and enhance our institutional equity product suite.
- Ensure full compliance with Hong Kong SFO and SFC regulatory requirements for client onboarding and clearing setup, with strict adherence to client money and asset protection rules.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Experience: 2-3 years of working experience in institutional equity sales, prime brokerage sales, electronic trading sales or institutional-facing client service roles within regulated financial institutions or broker-dealers.
- Client Engagement: Proven track record in client-facing capacities; existing institutional contact network is considered a plus but not mandatory.
- Technical Competency: Solid working knowledge of algorithmic execution, margin financing and institutional trading systems. Comfortable discussing technical integration specifications and risk parameters with trading desks.
- Regulatory Awareness: Practical understanding of Hong Kong SFC rules governing institutional client asset protection and prime-brokerage compliance.
- Licensing: SFC Type 1 licence preferred; Type 2 licence is an advantage. Relevant candidates without existing SFC licences will also be evaluated.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese capability is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and cross-team communication skills, proactive problem-solving mindset, capable of independent work as well as cross-functional collaboration.
- Visa: Candidates holding valid Hong Kong IANG visa (Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates) are warmly welcome; holders of General Employment Policy (GEP) visa are also considered. Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates.
