Orient Securities International Financial Group Limited is seeking a qualified professional to build and manage a dense network of institutional investors across Pre-IPO, IPO and placement stages in Hong Kong. The role involves collaborating with PE funds, hedge funds, family offices and asset managers to optimize order quality and deal flow.
The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree or above and 3–8 years of experience in ECM/capital markets, with a strong track record in placements,
Develop and maintain a network of institutional investors across Pre-IPO, IPO and placement stages (including PE, long-only, hedge funds, family offices and asset managers), and build an investor profile database and order preference map;
Support project execution and conduct investor communications to improve order quality and deal completion probability;
Source and manage shareholder-side needs such as large-scale sell-downs, liquidity monetisation and structured exits; build a sustainable pool of sell-side assets / deal flow;
Match investor demand and design the execution approach, working closely with the trading desk to control market impact and settlement / delivery risks;
Conduct post-deal reviews and documentation (pricing feedback, investor preferences, execution risk points) to continuously enhance execution efficiency and matching success rate;
Drive cross-functional coordination with IBD, trading desk, research, legal & compliance and operations/back office, clarifying timelines, responsibilities, milestones and key risk flags;
Develop annual account/project plans for key clients and implement a quarterly rolling pipeline management mechanism to ensure deal progress is visible and measurable.
Master’s degree or above; major in Finance, Economics, Engineering or other relevant disciplines preferred;
3–8 years of relevant experience; candidates with any of the following backgrounds are preferred:
ECM / capital markets / placement experience at a securities firm or investment bank;
Institutional sales experience with a strong track record in placements / ABB / block trades and other project-based sales;
Buy-side transition (e.g., PE / asset management) with strong investor order capability and pricing understanding;
Proven and verifiable deal experience in placements, sell-downs, block trades, etc. is a plus;
Solid understanding of common structures, processes and market practices in Hong Kong equity financing and large-size secondary transactions; good grasp of order quality management and pricing logic;
Strong project management capability: cross-team coordination, milestone driving, delivery under pressure and issue closure;
Strong commercial communication and negotiation skills, able to communicate professionally with institutional investors and issuers/shareholders;
Strong written and spoken English and Chinese; capable of preparing materials such as pitch highlights, Q&A and deal summaries;
Strong compliance mindset; able to strictly follow information barrier requirements, wall-crossing procedures and documentation / record-keeping standards;
Holder of SFC Type 1 and/or Type 4 licence.
