Job summary

ACT Genomics (HK) Ltd is seeking a Junior Accountant to support daily financial operations in Hong Kong. You will handle ERP entries, AR activities, payments, and assist with month-end closings and budgeting, collaborating across departments to ensure accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working under tight deadlines, with fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. This role requires an Associate Degree or higher in accounting or related field.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or above, preferably in Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Responsible, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• ERP System Operations: Handle purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt entries, and enter expenses into ERP.
• Banking and Receipts: Deposit cheques and prepare COD patient receipts.
• Accounts Receivable Support: Assist in invoices, payment advice, daily accounting, and payment allocations.
• Month-End Closing: Support month-end activities.
• Cash Handling and Reporting: Manage petty cash and PAR documents.
• Financial Analysis and Budgeting: Prepare monthly revenue reports and monitor project pricing.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.

The Junior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the daily financial operations of the company. This position is responsible for handling ERP system entries, managing accounts receivable, processing payments, and assisting with month-end closing and budgeting activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Job Responsibility

• ERP System Operations
  • Handle purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and goods receipt entries for laboratory materials
  • Process inventory movement documents including material requisitions and R&D requisitions
  • Enter relevant expenses into the ERP system
• Banking and Receipts
  • Deposit physical cheques
  • Prepare COD patient receipts
• Accounts Receivable Support
  • Assist in issuing invoices and payment advice
  • Perform daily accounting tasks and maintain accurate financial records
  • Process customer payments and allocate them to respective accounts
• Month-End Closing
  • Support month-end closing activities in accordance with deadlines
• Cash Handling and Reporting
  • Manage petty cash
  • Prepare PAR (Purchase Approval Request) documents
• Financial Analysis and Budgeting
