Job summary

Hactl - Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned IT Administrator to maintain and support its IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises services. You will act as 2nd line support while ensuring reliability and security of systems.

The role requires 6–8 years of IT support experience, strong Windows/Azure and M365 skills, plus certifications like MCSE/ITIL. Proficient English and Chinese communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant disciplines.
• 6–8 years of solid IT support experience in sizeable organizations with professional certifications such as MCSE, ITIL, or Cloud (Azure, AWS) as an advantage.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Azure Cloud platform, Hyper-V, AD/AAD, M365 (including MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
• Experience in SQL Server and backup solutions (Veeam) is preferred.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and maintenance for infrastructure systems, including cloud and on-premises services (VMs, Corporate email, MS M365).
• Provide 2nd line support to frontline staff and manage system administration, optimization, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure.
• Manage backups, monitoring, and ensure availability, accessibility, and security of IT systems.
• Review and update infrastructure documentation and diagrams, maintain accurate inventory records.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to manage projects and deliver updates.
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Provide 24/7 on-call production support on rotation and ad hoc after-hours support.

Key Duties

• Provide support and maintenance for infrastructure systems, including cloud and on-premises services. (VMs, Corporate email, MS M365 services, storage solutions, and backups…)
• Provide assistance to frontline support staff as 2nd tier support when necessary.
• Responsible for system administration, optimization and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure including but not limited to AD/AAD, Microsoft Azure, SQL, Windows Servers (Hyper-V and VMWare) and storage.
• Manage systems backup and monitoring to ensure IT infrastructure availability, accessibility, and security.
• Review and update infrastructure documentation and diagrams, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Manage projects by coordinating with both external vendors and internal parties.
• Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
• Provide 24/7 on-call production support on a rotational basis and ad hoc non-office hours support when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant disciplines.
• 6 to 8 years of solid IT support experience in sizeable organizations, with professional certifications such as MCSE, ITIL, or Cloud (Azure, AWS & etc.) is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Azure Cloud platform, Hyper-V, AD/AAD, M365 (including MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
• Experience in SQL Server and backup solutions (Veeam) is preferred.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to complete the projects and tasks independently and provide progress updates to manager.
• Willingness to learn and assume additional responsibilities assigned by line manager.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Potential candidate with less experience will be also considered as Windows System Administrator.
