Job description

• Manage and maintain the corporate IT infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, network systems, and communication platforms (Teams Phone, IP Phone).
• Administer Linux Server, Microsoft Windows Server (2019 or above), Active Directory, Office 365, Intune and Hyper-V environment.
• Ensure system backups, disaster recovery plans, and security policies are effectively implemented to maintain business continuity.
• Perform evaluation, installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of networking devices (e.g. Windows Server, Exchange Online, Firewall, Switches, Routers, Wi-Fi infrastructure, etc.).
• Monitor system performance, handle troubleshooting, and perform preventive maintenance and firmware updates.
• Lead the migration from legacy on-premises phone system (Avaya IP Phone) to Microsoft Teams Phone, including planning, deployment, and user adoption.
• Design, implement, and operate core IT services (e.g. Domain Control, Backup, AD, Teams Phone, Intune MDM, etc.).
• Develop, document, and enforce security policies and network access control.
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Ali Cloud, including ECS, VPC, OSS, and related services.
• Drive cloud migration initiatives, migrating on-premises services to cloud platforms (Ali Cloud, Microsoft 365, Azure).

Application & System Support

• Support enterprise platforms to ensure system enhancements and integrations are properly maintained.
• Support internal clients in the evaluation and selection of technical solutions and vendors.
• Research, test, and recommend emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools that support both administrative and teaching functions.
• Coordinate with external vendors and the Global IT Team on system deployment and maintenance across locations.
• Assist in procurement and tendering activities to ensure compliance with corporate policies and budgets.

Documentation & Compliance

• Document all configurations, procedures, and system changes for knowledge sharing and continuity.
• Ensure all documentation meets internal IT standards and audit requirements.
• Uphold compliance with the organization's IT policy and the AI/Next Generation Technology Framework, including data security and ethical AI use.
• Work closely with academic and administrative departments to align IT initiatives with organizational needs.
• Provide guidance to junior IT staff and assist in resolving complex technical incidents.
• Support corporate meetings and special projects requiring advanced technical setup (AV, network, video conference).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' IT experience in network, system administration, and infrastructure management.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Server environments, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, routing/switching, firewall management, virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware), and cloud platforms (Ali Cloud / Alibaba Cloud including ECS, VPC, OSS).
• Hands-on experience with cloud migration projects — migrating on-premises workloads to public cloud (Ali Cloud, Azure, or equivalent).
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Phone deployment and migration from legacy PBX / IP Phone systems is a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of Linux Server administration.
• Familiarity with database technologies (MySQL, SQL Server) is a plus.
• Preferred certifications: Azure Administrator, Intune / Modern Management, or Ali Cloud (ACP) certification.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese / Mandarin).
• Service-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure or outside office hours when required.
