Job Description
- Configure, and maintain local network systems (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
- Administer servers (Windows/Linux), virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper‑V), and storage systems (SAN/NAS).
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations for reliability and scalability.
- Design and enforce IT security policies; manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments; ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Manage email systems, VoIP, and collaboration tools.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans; perform regular drills.
- Provide database support (Oracle or equivalent) for performance and availability.
- Support hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Alibaba Cloud).
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Act as primary IT contact for ~20 senior stakeholders; deliver responsive and professional support.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware/software procurement and troubleshooting.
- Maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and IT asset inventory.
The Successful Applicant
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3-5+ years of hands‑on IT operations experience with broad infrastructure exposure.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls).
- Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V).
- Storage solutions (SAN/NAS), backup/recovery tools (Veeam, Commvault).
- Proficiency in scripting for automation and configuration management.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, ITIL, or PMP are plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Cantonese/Mandarin are mandatory.
