Job summary

Leadingnation is seeking a network support specialist to perform daily server and network administration, manage security appliances, and optimize routing and switching for efficiency and security.

You will design new network solutions, coordinate with vendors, and maintain comprehensive documentation while meeting service levels. Cantonese fluency plus English/Mandarin is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent disciplines.
• 2+ years of experience in network support and IT security.
• Solid hands-on experience with Cisco devices and Wi-Fi controllers.
• Knowledge of firewall fundamentals and network security monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new network solutions or improve current networks.
• Configure firewalls routing, switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
• Manage with vendors to resolve network incidents and problems.
• Develop guidelines, policies, and procedures for network infrastructure operations to meet SLAs.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation (network diagrams, inventory, etc).
• Able to work on non-office hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily support & system administration on server systems, security appliances, networking devices and networks
• Design and implement new network solutions and / or improve the efficiency of current networks
• Configure firewalls routing, switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Manage and work with vendors to resolve network incidents and problems
• Develop formal guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure that the operation of network infrastructure meets service level agreement
• Maintain up-to-date documentation (network diagram, inventory, etc)
• Able to work on non-office hours based on business requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent disciplines
• 2 or more years of working experience in network support and IT security
• Solid hands-on experience in Cisco Router, Switch, Wi-Fi controller/AP, IP phones
• Decent knowledge in firewalls such as those models from Cisco, Fortinet, etc,
• Experience in network security and endpoint security monitoring and response
• Certifications in Cisco, Fortinet, and IT security preferred
• Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and vendors, work under pressure and meet a tight work schedule
• Familiar with Microsoft Windows Server, VMware ESX is added advantage
• Proficient in spoken Cantonese, fair capability in English and Mandarin
