Job summary

Captiare Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced Data Centre expert to lead the DC Operations & Facilities team, driving 24/7 operations, governance, and performance reporting.

The role requires 8+ years in large-scale DC environments, proven leadership, and strong vendor/asset management. Fluency in English and Chinese and knowledge of ITIL/ISO27001 are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, ICT, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in large-scale, 24/7 data centre environments.
• Proven leadership in Data Centres, IT operations, facilities management, and infrastructure.
• Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and asset control.
• Prior experience in a client servicing role would be an advantage.
• Familiar with ITSM tools, security solutions, and data centre infra platforms.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (ITIL, ISO27001, TIA-942, etc).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for data centre, infrastructure, and security requirements.
• Design and enhance 24/7 data centre operations
• Establish governance, policies, and standards aligned with industry practices
• Lead 24/7 operations: support, incident/change management, monitoring, backup
• Conduct facilities management (HVAC, power, fire systems, cabling, racks etc.)
• Manage IT asset inventory and handle budgeting, cost control, and optimisation initiatives
• Manage vendors, contracts, and ensure satisfactory delivery of agreed services
• Monitor and respond to operational and security incidents
• Drive risk management, resilience, and contingency planning (BCP)
• Track DC performance, improve service quality, and report KPIs

To cope with increasing demand, they are looking to add to their team a well-versed Data Centre expert to lead their DC Operations & Facilities team.
