They are currently hiring for a Senior Manager - Data Centre IT/OT in Hong Kong. This person will be the regional authority for IT and OT infrastructure, networks, and applications across the regional data centre portfolio.
This role owns the design, delivery, commissioning, and operation of resilient, secure, and scalable IT/OT environments supporting hyperscale and AI facilities.
You will drive standardisation, automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices while collaborating with global IT/OT leads and local teams to define regional strategy and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Architecture: Develop and maintain the regional Data Centre Technology strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned to global standards. Define technology architecture and contribute to global standards and reference architectures.
- Design & Delivery: Lead IT/OT design and implementation for new data centre projects; review and approve designs for new facilities and upgrades. Ensure systems are ready for day-one operations and govern deployment standards through to operational handover.
- Operations: Establish and operate a 24x7 technology support model. Own service availability, reliability, and performance. Manage incidents, outages, and problem management. Develop operational procedures, escalation frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Cyber Security & Compliance: Develop the regional cyber security strategy and ensure security-by-design across all platforms. Support compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, the Ordinance for Protection of Critical Infrastructure, and other applicable standards. Manage audits and remediation of technology-related findings.
- Cloud & Integration: Design, implement, and operate cloud platforms enabling secure integration into centralised data centre systems, DCMS, and physical security systems.
- Vendor & Service Management: Select, contract, and manage strategic technology partners, MSPs, NOC, and OT support providers. Define KPIs, SLAs, and governance frameworks. Lead commercial negotiations and manage budgets.
- Leadership: Build and evolve the Data Centre Technology team. Recruit and develop resources, foster a culture of operational excellence, and act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Provide technical advice to senior leaders, designers, and contractors across all project phases. Present confidently to leadership and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years' experience supporting mission-critical 24x7 IT cloud, infrastructure, and network platforms in a regulated environment.
- Senior expertise in technology strategy, governance, and operating models for mission-critical environments.
- Strong understanding of hyperscale/co-location data centre technology, cyber security, systems, and infrastructure.
- Advanced technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and cloud services: network, compute, storage, virtualisation, containers, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Strong understanding of OT systems: BMS, EPMS, SCADA, physical access control, and CCTV.
- Expert knowledge of cyber/information security frameworks and their application to data centre operations and OT.
- Working knowledge of EAM, CMMS, and BIM systems.
- Understanding of critical infrastructure regulations, governance, and controls in Hong Kong and Asia.
- Experience managing an ISO 27001 certified ISMS or equivalent, and familiarity with the Hong Kong Code of Practice for the Protection of Critical Infrastructure.
- Proven track record delivering complex, multi-disciplinary technology projects with multiple vendors and internal teams.
- Experience leading technology operations teams and service providers, including developing contracts and SLAs.
- Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Highly organised with high attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications: CISSP, CCIE, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience designing and managing OT systems (BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PACS, CCTV).
