Job summary

Liberty International Insurance Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an IT Operations Manager to lead end-to-end IT operations, data centre facilities, and service delivery while ensuring SLA compliance and operational excellence.

You will drive ITIL-based incident and change management, coordinate with internal teams and vendors, supervise power, cooling, security and infrastructure, and help manage OPEX and CAPEX with a focus on reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering or related disciplines.
• 8+ years of relevant IT/ Data Centre operations experience.
• ITIL expertise or certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the support service for software, hardware and systems.
• Ensure day-to-day IT operation follows best practices and meets KPIs.
• Oversee day-to-day Data Centre facilities management and operations.
• Ensure compliance with company guidelines and local authorities' requirements.
• Assist in OPEX and CAPEX planning of budgets.
• Manage ITIL processes for IT & outsourced teams.
• Keep outsourcing documentation up-to-date.
• Collaborate with network, system and security teams; manage suppliers to meet SLA.
• Oversee security, temperature/humidity monitoring, and power distribution.
• Ensure outsourced providers track incidents and problems; improve via automation.
• Communicate with application and infrastructure teams on significant incidents.
• Elevate critical incidents timely to management.
• Act as Change Manager for infrastructure changes and ensure approvals.
• Host Change Management meetings as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

General Operation Management

• Establish and manage the support service for any software, hardware and systems managed
• Ensure the day-to-day IT operation follows the best practices and meets the operations' KPIs
• To oversee and run the day-to-day Data Centre facilities management and operations
• To ensure compliance with company guidelines and local authorities' requirements
• To assist in OPEX and CAPEX planning of yearly and monthly budgets
• Manage the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and foster the ITIL processes for all IT & outsourced team members
• Ensure all the procedures and documentation for Outsourcing operations are up-to-date.
• Collaborate with various teams (network, system, security, etc) to deliver IT services and support, and manage both hardware and software supplier services to meet the SLA
• Oversee physical security, evaluate temperature and humidity levels, and monitor power distribution to prevent equipment failure

Incident and Change Management

• Ensure the outsourced providers keep track of all incidents and problems, and that they are recorded properly
• Enhance the repeated incidents and operational tasks through automation
• Communicate with application and infrastructure teams when a significant incident occurs, impacting IT-provided services
• Timely elevate critical incidents to the management team
• Act as Change Manager to manage all infrastructure changes and ensure records are appropriately approved according to the ITIL process
• Ensure the Change Management meetings hosted by Outsourcing when needed

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the management

Profile

• Bachelor degree in IT, or Engineering / Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years' relevant experience, with demonstrated experience in implementing the ITIL process or certification as an ITIL professional will be a definite advantage
• Comprehensive knowledge of high-voltage power distribution, industrial cooling systems(HVAC/Chillers), and fire suppression mechanisms
• Extensive knowledge of data centre operation network, E&M Facility Management, IT infrastructure (Servers, storage, network), and production operations support
• Professional certifications such as Holder of Registered Electrical Worker license and Uptime Institute ATD are highly preferred
• Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, including vendors and the operations team
• Service-oriented, good problem-solving, and communication skills
• Professional-level business Chinese and English, both written and spoken
