  • Strong analytical, negotiating, and supplier-management skills.
  • Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across approximately 200 SKUs.
  • Forecast inventory requirements based on sales trends and business demand.
  • Ensure timely replenishment to minimise stock shortages and excess inventory.
  • Analyse inventory movement and identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and obsolete products.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Source, evaluate, and appoint new suppliers to improve pricing, product quality, and supply reliability.
  • Manage purchasing activities with existing wholesalers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and supply agreements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery, and service standards are consistently met.

About the role

This role is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels, sourcing quality products at competitive prices, and supporting efficient warehouse and order fulfilment operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving purchasing efficiency, controlling inventory costs, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

About you
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or a related discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a similar role
  • Experience managing inventory within a retail, FMCG, e-commerce, or distribution environment is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound commercial judgement
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Highly organised, meticulous, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Able to perform physical tasks to assist with stock handling and warehouse activities when required
