Job summary

Oliver James Associates Limited seeks an experienced Business Analyst to drive Insurance Transformation initiatives in Hong Kong. You will gather requirements across Operations, Distribution, Claims and Underwriting, and work with technology teams, vendors and partners to deliver targeted improvements.

The role emphasizes process analysis, document preparation, and stakeholder facilitation, with involvement in SIT/UAT testing and management reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within the insurance industry.
• Proven experience delivering transformation, process improvement, digitalization, or system implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations and business processes, with experience in Claims, Policy Administration, Underwriting, Customer Service, or Agency / Distribution Operations.
• Open to candidates from both Life Insurance and General Insurance backgrounds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in both Cantonese and English.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from key stakeholders across Operations, Distribution, Claims, and Underwriting.
• Support insurance transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, customer experience and performance.
• Analyze existing processes and systems; identify opportunities and propose solutions.
• Produce business requirements, process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Act as a bridge between business users, technology teams, vendors and external partners for project delivery.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment and decisions.
• Support solution design, impact assessments, process improvements and SIT/UAT testing.
• Monitor project progress, risks and issues; provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Prepare project documentation, management reports and leadership presentations.
