Job summary

Oliver James Associates Limited seeks an experienced Business Analyst to drive Insurance Transformation initiatives in Hong Kong. You will gather requirements across Operations, Distribution, Claims and Underwriting, and work with technology teams, vendors and partners to deliver targeted improvements.

The role emphasizes process analysis, document preparation, and stakeholder facilitation, with involvement in SIT/UAT testing and management reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within the insurance industry.
• Proven experience delivering transformation, process improvement, digitalization, or system implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations and business processes, with experience in Claims, Policy Administration, Underwriting, Customer Service, or Agency / Distribution Operations.
• Open to candidates from both Life Insurance and General Insurance backgrounds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills in both Cantonese and English.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements from key stakeholders across Operations, Distribution, Claims, and Underwriting.

• Monitor project progress, risks and issues; provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Prepare project documentation, management reports and leadership presentations.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

5+ years of Business Analysis experience within the insurance industry.

Proven experience delivering transformation, process improvement, digitalization, or system implementation projects.

Strong understanding of insurance operations and business processes, with experience in one or more areas such as Claims, Policy Administration, Underwriting, Customer Service, or Agency / Distribution Operations.

Open to candidates from both Life Insurance and General Insurance backgrounds.
