Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the regional IT/OT strategy and operating model for Hong Kong.
• Lead IT/OT design and build for new data centre projects with adherence to standards and compliance.
• Oversee data centre IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud platforms to enable scalable operations.
• Drive cyber security controls and ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships with OEMs and service providers to support delivery and operations.

Job description

The Data Centre IT/OT Manager serves as the region's authority on the Data Centre IT and OT infrastructure, network, applications and design, delivery and operations across the Hong Kong data centre portfolio.

This role owns the regional operational technology, network, infrastructure and applications supporting the organization's hyperscale and AI data centre portfolio in the Hong Kong region. The position is accountable for ensuring highly resilient, secure and scalable IT and OT environments and applications across the lifecycle of data centre design, delivery, commissioning and operations, while driving standardisation, automation and operational excellence through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern hybrid management platforms supporting mission critical facilities. This role will work closely with IT/OT Leads from other regions and local data centre design, delivery and operations teams to develop the regional strategy and architecture to support efficient scale and operation of the Hong Kong data centre portfolio.

Key Areas of Leadership

Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute the Data Centre IT/OT strategy and operating model for the region, aligned to global objectives and standards.

IT/OT Design & Build: Lead the IT and OT design and implementation for new data centre projects, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, industry best practices and compliance requirements.

Data Centre IT Infrastructure: Ensure adherence to design standards and further develop those standards, deployment, and commissioning requirements for IT/OT networks and infrastructure deployed for operated data centre facilities.

Cyber Security & Compliance: Development of the regional cyber security strategy, design and implementation of controls in compliance to ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS and local regulations and frameworks.

Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement and operate cloud platforms enabling integration into centralised data centre systems, controls and infrastructure.

Operational Technology: Contribute to and implement standards for security, connectivity, platforms and tools.

Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key OEM vendors, implementation partners and service providers to support the delivery and operation of technology and systems supporting the organization's data centre portfolio.

Data Centre Systems: Design, develop and maintain the core systems required to design, develop and operate the organization's data centres.

Innovation: Drive research and development into innovative processes and technology enabling competitive advantage, time to market, and operational excellence.

Ideal Experience

Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security or related discipline. Master’s degree is preferred.

Versatility and experience in IT/OT design, build and operations, including tendering work and on-going vendor management for projects and IT managed services

Data centre experience with OT / facilities network and infrastructure with a hyperscaler or colocation provider preferable
