About the role
We are seeking a Human Resources Manager for our banking client. This is a strategic HR position focused on supporting the recruitment and people management functions within the banking sector. You will play a vital role in developing and implementing HR strategies that attract, engage, and retain top talent for our banking clients. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on organizational culture, employee development, and talent acquisition within a fast-paced financial services environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for banking positions, including job profiling, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with banking sector clients to understand their talent needs and organisational objectives
- Track HR KPIs such as turnover, headcount, training participation, performance cycle completion, and ER case trends.
- Provide HR reporting and recommendations to leadership based on data insights.
- Design and implement HR policies and procedures that align with banking regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Support employee onboarding, performance management, and professional development programmes for banking professionals
- Conduct HR compliance audits and ensure adherence to employment legislation and banking sector regulations
- Collaborate with senior management to identify talent gaps and develop targeted recruitment strategies
- Manage HR administration, including contract management, leave administration, and personnel record keeping
- Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives across banking teams
- Provide HR advice and support to managers and staff on employment matters and workplace issues
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of professional HR experience, with substantial exposure to recruitment and talent acquisition in the banking or financial services sector
- Proven expertise in full-cycle recruitment, including candidate sourcing, interviewing techniques, and selection methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of employment law, banking sector regulations, and HR compliance requirements applicable in Hong Kong
- Strong understanding of banking industry culture, roles, and talent requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Proficiency in HR systems and databases, as well as strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop creative and practical HR solutions
- Fluency in English and Cantonese and Mandarin
