Job summary

Hospital Authority Island Cluster seeks a Hospital Foreman for Grantham Hospital. The role involves supervising supporting services staff, assisting recruitment and training, and preparing rosters, statistics and reports.

Required are at least 2 years of supervisory experience in related services, proficiency in Chinese Word Processing, Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with HA ADS/ERP/SRS. Reading/writing Chinese and English is essential; duties include shift work and emergencies.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ satisfactory service in the Hospital Authority, or 2 years’ supervisory experience in hospitals, hotels, cleansing service, facilities management or other related services / industries.
• Have shown the potential to lead and supervise staff.
• Knowledge of Chinese Word processing, Excel and PowerPoint; and HA software such as ADS, ERP and SRS.
• Able to read and write Chinese and English.
• Solid experience in domestic and transportation service in health care setting, handling ad-hoc and emergency duties.
• Good supervisory skill with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and regular performance assessment of supporting services staff.
• Assist recruitment and provide training to supporting services staff.
• Prepare staff duty roster, statistics and reports.
• Order dispatch and manpower deployment.
• Communicate and coordinate with service users in respect of provision of supporting service.
• Monitor the performance of various outsourced service contractors.
• Keep stock of materials, store items and other equipment.
• Ensure staff compliance with HA related ordinances, policies and guidelines.
• Handle emergency situation or disaster outbreak.
• Perform shift and on-call duties and work outside normal office hours, if required.
• Prepare statistics and reports.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
