Job description

HK International Schools Admissions Advisor/Consultant

This is a KPI-DRIVEN SALES POSITION guiding families through Hong Kong's international school landscape.

As Academic Asia expends, demand for Hong Kong international schools admissions advising is growing. We seek a knowledgeable, commercially minded advisor to guide prospective families from first enquiry to close. We're looking for an experienced admissions consultant to be the one of the first members of this function. You'll advise families directly and convert them into clients, and you'll help shape how the service is built.

This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role with real ownership. You'll work closely with our management team and our Shenzhen office, and help define the service packages, sales process and materials as the function grows.

The successful candidate will manage a pipeline, convert qualified leads and meet agreed activity, conversion, revenue and/or enrolment targets. They must also translate complex school and admissions information into accurate, practical advice tailored to each family.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own the pipeline from lead qualification through consultation, objection handling and closing.
  • Follow up with leads and event registrants, providing accurate updates and recording next steps
  • Advise families on school fit, curricula, entry requirements, assessments and timelines across Hong Kong's international and local school landscape.
  • Serve mainland Chinese families considering or relocating to Hong Kong, working closely with our Shenzhen office on leads, events and client follow-up.
  • Plan and deliver regular seminars and webinars in Hong Kong and, as needed, in Shenzhen.
  • Help design our admissions service packages and pricing, sales materials and processes.
  • Meet sales KPIs and maintain accurate CRM and pipeline records, and report on performance against agreed targets (consultations, conversions and revenue).
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

Build family trust, provide realistic and actionable advice, maintain a healthy pipeline, deliver effective events, and meet or exceed KPIs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Native Cantonese and English are non-negotiable; fluent Mandarin is highly valued.
  • Verifiable knowledge of Hong Kong international schools and curricula, including IB, British, American, Canadian and the local DSE system, plus its enrolment pathways; this will be assessed.
  • Proven sales record, including pipeline management, target achievement and closing.
  • At least 3-4 years' international education experience, preferably in admissions, consulting, recruitment or education sales.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, organisation and follow-up skills, with excellent accuracy and professionalism.
  • An understanding of the needs and decision-making of mainland Chinese families is a strong advantage.
  • Confident presenting to groups of parents, in person and online.
  • Self-directed and entrepreneurial, comfortable building processes from scratch rather than following an existing playbook.
  • Willingness to travel to Shenzhen for events and client meetings as needed.
