Job description

Head of Technology and Operations Department

Define and implement enterprise-wide operations strategic plans to align with Group and Bank-level corporate strategies.

Oversee end-to-end operational risk management across the branch; establish, embed and continuously enhance operational risk governance, risk assessment, control measures and risk monitoring mechanisms to mitigate operational risk exposures across all business lines.

Ensure end-to-end operational activities across the whole bank are properly governed and managed, to support all business divisions to drive sustainable business growth.

Build and continuously optimize stable, resilient, high-quality, cost-effective operation platforms and value-added support services for the entire bank, advancing the overall capability of the bank-wide operations function.

Facilitate timely deployment of fit-for-purpose technology solutions to meet diverse business requirements, by leveraging emerging technologies, vendor resources and external business partner capabilities.

Comprehend business needs and pain points across all internal divisions; engage and influence internal stakeholders to adopt optimal operating models for the best interests of the Bank as a whole.

Develop and manage the full operations team, foster a result-driven, risk-aware culture.

Provide guidance and coaching to subordinates to build solid collaborative partnerships with business, technology and project management teams.

Serve as a core leadership member of the BCP Team, take charge of operational resilience, business continuity and crisis response related work.

Participate in senior level governance meetings including Management Committee, Operational Risk Committee and other relevant management committees, provide professional operations and operational risk related input for key decision making.

Requirements

Degree holder with minimum of 10-year working experience in banking industry, among which at least 5 years in senior level management roles within banking or relevant financial industries.

Solid expertise in general bank management and end-to-end bank wide operations management.

Proven practical experience in operational risk governance and internal control system building is essential; exposure in financial management & control and multi-discipline project management will be an advantage.

Strong awareness of internal control, regulatory compliance and operational risk management.

Excellent leadership, interpersonal communication and talent management capabilities.

Proven track record of leading and delivering strategic transformation projects and new key business initiatives.
