Job summary

Our client is a leading China-based virtual-only fintech company seeking a Senior technology leader in Hong Kong to represent the organization across the region and to bridge China HQ with HK and Singapore markets.

You will drive technology strategy, system planning, localization, and rollout of core platforms, ensuring regulatory alignment and seamless cross-border integration, while leveraging AI to enhance banking and insurance products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
• 10+ years in IT digital transformation focusing on application development, digital platforms, system integration, and project delivery for insurance/banking systems.
• Experience in overseas business systems expansion or integration is preferred.

About Our Client

Our client is a leading China-based virtual-only fintech company seeking a Senior technology leader in Hong Kong to represent the organization across the region.

This individual will be responsible for driving and supporting "Chinese companies go global" technology strategy, system planning, and cross-border system integration initiatives, acting as the bridge between the headquarters in China and the Hong Kong and Singapore markets.

The role will oversee the localization, system implementation, and rollout of core business platforms for their prodcuts, ensuring successful integration with local business operations, regulatory requirements, and partner ecosystems.

Job Description

If you have a strong technical background in banking or insurance platforms and products, particularly in application platform or portal development, system planning, architecture, or system integration, and have also worked in a business facing role such as Product Manager, Business Analyst, or Solution Lead, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

We are looking for someone who combines deep InsurTech expertise with strong business acumen, and is ready to take on a leadership role bridging business and technology.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive system strategy, technology innovation, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• You will serve as the key technology bridge between the overseas business teams (Hong Kong and Singapore) and the Group's technology function. You will be responsible for understanding the local business needs, shaping technology 3 years or 5 years roadmaps, and ensuring systems and digital solutions are delivered effectively to support growth across Hong Kong, Singapore overseas markets;
  
  
• Working closely with the China-based development and R&D teams, you will drive system planning, product requirements management, and locally platform integration, ensuring technology solutions are successfully localized and adopted by overseas users;
  
  
• On top of this, you will champion the use of AI emerging technologies to improve the distribution, operations, and customer engagement while helping to establish a strong banking-tech and insurance technology presence in the region.
  
  
• Work closely with banks, insurers, and business partners across Hong Kong and Singapore to identify how technology and AI can create better customer experiences and business results.
  
  
• Build strong industry partnerships, grow high performing teams, and help promote the company as a trusted FinTech and InsurTech leader brand in the region.

The Successful Applicant

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/ above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management, or related disciplines;
  
  
• Language - Excellent command of Cantonese, Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders;
  
  
• At least 10 years or above experience in IT digital transformation with a strong focus in "application development, digital platforms, system integration, and project delivery for insurance/ banking system portal" is a MUST; Insurance industry is preferred, although candidates with relevant banking product experience will also be considered;
  
  
• Experience in supporting overseas business systems expansion or integration is highly preferred;
  
  
• Strong experience in system planning, business analysis, and project management, with the ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions. Skilled in engaging stakeholders, streamlining business processes, and managing requirements across multiple systems to ensure successful project delivery;
