Job summary

Fintech Section Head / Senior Manager in Banking is sought by a leading Hong Kong listed financial services group. The role sits in the Fintech Development Department, supporting the Head to drive fintech innovation and adoption to strengthen the bank's competitiveness amid evolving industry standards and competitive pressures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in financial services or Fintech-related industries.
• Deep knowledge of Banking business/models and local regulatory environment.
• Strong market/tech trend awareness with a track record of commercializing innovative business models.
• Proven experience driving innovation projects for retail banking in Hong Kong.
• Analytical mindset with ability to visualize opportunities and issues from data.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Results-oriented and able to deliver under pressure.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Be a team member of the Fintech Development Department.
• Assist the Head of Fintech Development in formulating and commercializing Fintech innovations to boost bank competitiveness.
• Lead the planning and execution of Fintech strategy.
• Advocate for Fintech innovation and foster an innovative culture; drive adoption of new tech for business objectives.
• Monitor global trends and apply buy-and-pilot approaches to transform operations into digital services.
• Ensure Fintech projects comply with regulatory requirements and standards.
• Track and control Fintech project status to align with business strategy.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external Fintech partners to deliver projects and business results.
• Conduct risk and compliance related reports and tasks.

A leading Hong Kong based listed financial services group, with one of the largest local branch networks, providing comprehensive corporate banking, personal banking, wealth management, and investment services to its customers to major markets around the world, is looking for talents to join.

Responsibilities:

• To be a team member of Fintech Development Department
• To support the Head of Fintech Development to drive the formulation and commercialization of Fintech innovation and adoption aimed at strengthening the Banks competitiveness in responding to the uplifting of new industry standards and customer expectations along with the competitions introduced by the emerging unconventional FIs in the marketplace
• To lead in planning and execution of Fintech strategy
• To be the advocate for Fintech innovation. Nurture innovative culture, introducing new ways of thinking and working. Drive business innovation through identification/ adoption of suitable Fintech solutions/ new technologies for the Bank/Business Units to address the identified/ prioritized Business objectives and/or issues
• To follow global innovative trends, apply buy and pilot approach to transform front to back operations into digital service
• To ensure the Fintech projects comply with regulatory requirements and compliance standards
• To monitor and control Fintech project status to ensure project development aligned with business strategy
• To collaborate with various departments or external Fintech partner to drive Fintech project development, implementation and business result delivery
• To conduct risk & compliance related reports and tasks

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years working experience of which 5 years in managerial level from recognized establishments in financial services and/or Fintech related industries
• In-depth knowledge on business and operation models of Banking, with thorough understanding on the local regulatory environment
• Sound understanding on latest market and technology trend and having track record in commercializing and operationalizing innovative business and operating models
• Proven track record in driving innovation projects for retail banking products and services in Hong Kong
• Analytical, be able to visualize opportunities, issues from data
• Acute communicator with proven track record in influencing senior stakeholders
• Result oriented and able to deliver under pressure
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient of both spoken and written English and Chinese
