Job summary

Global Executive Consultants Ltd. has partnered with a leading bank group to appoint a Head of Consumer Finance in Hong Kong. The role leads the consumer finance business across credit cards and retail lending, shaping strategy, product development, policy and cross-sell opportunities.

The ideal candidate holds a university degree, demonstrates 15 years of consumer finance experience, and can lead a sizeable team with strong communication skills in Chinese and English (Cantonese and Putonghua).

Qualifications

• Full-time university degree holder is a MUST.
• 15 years’ proven experience in consumer finance, credit card, retail lending business development / product solutions / retail credit management with exposure to Banking and Finance sectors.
• Able to lead large team size with strong people management.
• A Mature, detail-minded and confident leader with self-initiative, independent as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to exercise judgment, work under pressure and liaise effectively with the business and supporting units.
• Excellent command of spoken and written Chinese and English including Cantonese and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive new business development strategies / growth and success of the consumer loan business with coverage in Credit Card and Retail Lending
• Plan and implement product strategies to achieve business targets of the consumer loan business
• Formulate and participate in product launch plan, market / trend analysis, budget control and sales channel distribution
• Manage a sizeable team of Credit Risk Section for Consumer Finance Business and Services including Credit Card and Consume Loans Products under Retail Credit Department
• Formulate and review credit policy on credit review, credit monitoring, application approval and recovery issues on Credit Card and Consumer Loans business
• Set up business plans, business workflows, systems, sales channels and credit policy related to the product development for Retail Loan Portfolio
• Organize and coordinate with different channels and various parties to explore cross-sell promotion opportunities
