Job summary

Rectrix Group Limited is seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead a large-scale composite development project in Hong Kong. You will oversee from planning to completion, ensuring quality, timely delivery and budget adherence, while coordinating with consultants, main contractors and local authorities.

The ideal candidate has a civil/structural/building engineering background with 20+ years in construction management, strong leadership and bilingual English/Chinese communication

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years of experience in construction management, preferably with reputable property developers or main contractors in Hong Kong.
• In-depth knowledge of building ordinances and full-spectrum project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction from initial planning to completion.
• Oversee external consultants, contractors and stakeholders for project alignment.
• Ensure compliance with building ordinances, regulations and quality standards.
• Monitor budgets, schedules and progress with corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and mentor on-site teams for safe project delivery.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Construction with a proven track record in full-spectrum construction management to join their project team. In this role, you will oversee the construction of a large-scale composite development project in Hong Kong, ensuring it is delivered to the highest standards of quality, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the construction process from initial planning to completion, ensuring seamless execution.
• Oversee and coordinate external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Ensure compliance with building ordinances, regulations, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and mentor on-site teams to ensure efficient and safe project delivery.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in construction management, preferably with reputable property developers, main contractors in Hong Kong.
• In-depth knowledge of building ordinances and full-spectrum project delivery.
• Proven ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, main contractors, and government officials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
