Job summary

RedotPay is seeking a Payment Operations Specialist to ensure reliable payment processing across its payment flows and drive improvements through Growth Operations. You will monitor performance, investigate issues, coordinate with internal and external teams, and optimize processes to boost payment success and reduce friction.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product, Engineering, Risk/Fraud, and Support, plus the design of dashboards and automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2+ years of experience in payments operations, fintech operations, transaction monitoring, payments support, or payment processing
• Strong understanding of payment lifecycles: authorization, capture, settlement, reversals, refunds, disputes/chargebacks.
• Exposure to Growth Operations concepts (experimentation, KPI-driven optimization, funnels).
• Experience with operational metrics and performance analysis
• Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
• Candidate with more experience will be treated as Manager.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payment processing health across platforms, gateways, and integrations.
• Investigate and resolve payment failures, delays, reversals, chargebacks, disputes, and settlement issues.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of transactions and settlement reporting.
• Coordinate with engineering, support, compliance, fraud, and vendor teams to resolve root causes.
• Maintain operational documentation: runbooks, escalation paths, incident notes, and standard operating procedures.
• Use operational and payment performance data to identify bottlenecks impacting conversion and payment success rate.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk/Fraud, and Customer Support to define hypotheses for improvement (e.g., reducing decline rate, improving retry logic, faster resolution).
• Track KPIs, analyze results, and recommend scalable changes (processes, tooling, vendor configurations, integration improvements).
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting that support growth-oriented operations decision-making.
• Identify recurring operational issues and implement improvements to reduce manual handling.
• Propose automation opportunities (alerts, routing, reconciliation workflows, logs, and tooling enhancements).
• Maintain quality control for operational tasks and ensure adherence to SLAs.
