Prime Cellar (H.K.) Limited is seeking a highly capable Group Financial Controller to own financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, including Hong Kong, the United States, and Canada. We are seeking a highly capable, trustworthy, and hands-on Group Financial Controller to take full ownership of our financial operations, reporting, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
This is a key leadership role working directly with ownership, responsible for bringing structure, visibility, and control to all financial matters.
The Group Financial Controller will be responsible for end-to-end financial management across all entities, including corporate and personal financial oversight.
This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional who can operate both strategically and hands-on, with strong knowledge of US and Canadian accounting practices.
Oversee full set of accounts for all entities across Hong Kong, United States, and Canada
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports
Develop clear financial reporting packages for management review
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance across all entities
Supervise and manage all bookkeeping functions (internal staff and/or outsourced)
Review and ensure accuracy of all financial records and reconciliations
Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures
Ensure compliance with local regulations in HK, US, and Canada
Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors
Oversee tax filings, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements
Improve financial systems, workflows, and reporting efficiency
Manage accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent)
Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Support business operations, investments, and special projects
Manage personal financial matters for ownership, including tracking assets, expenses, and investments
Coordinate with advisors on tax, estate, and financial planning
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in a managerial role
Proven experience handling multi-entity and multi-country accounts
Strong knowledge of US accounting standards and tax considerations (required)
Experience with Canadian accounting and tax (highly preferred)
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks experience is a plus)
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
Detail-oriented and highly accountable
Proactive, independent, and able to take full ownership
Strong communication skills (English required; Cantonese/Mandarin a plus)
Comfortable working directly with business owners
