Job summary

Executive Access is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst in Hong Kong to support financial reporting, group consolidation, and management accounting. You will report to the Financial Controller and contribute to month-end close, budgeting, and audits.

The role requires 3–6 years of accounting experience, IFRS/HKFRS knowledge, and strong Excel/ERP skills. Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, with Cantonese/Mandarin/Korean proficiency a plus depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Big 4 experience or in-house corporate finance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/HKFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle).
• Fluency in English and Mandarin required.
• Cantonese/Mandarin/Korean proficiency is advantageous by location.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) preferred.
• Experience in financial services, private equity, or investment holding structures preferred.
• Exposure to group consolidation and intercompany accounting advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the corporate entity and group-level reports.
• Ensure IFRS/HKFRS compliance and internal policies.
• Manage month-end and year-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Produce timely management reports with variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis on expenditure, cash flow, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting for corporate functions.
• Coordinate annual external audits and internal reviews with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen controls.
• Collaborate with the finance team on system enhancements and ad-hoc projects.

They currently seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Senior Finance Analyst to join their finance team. In this role, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a critical part in managing our financial reporting, group consolidation, and management accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the corporate entity, and potentially group-level consolidated reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/HKFRS) and internal financial policies.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare timely and accurate management reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast, to support the Financial Controller and senior management.
• Provide insightful financial analysis on corporate expenditure, cash flow, and intercompany transactions.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for corporate functions.
• Coordinate and support annual external audits and internal reviews, preparing necessary schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory reporting requirements, managing filings and liaising with tax advisors as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting workflows, enhancing efficiency and internal controls.
• Collaborate with the broader finance team and cross-functional stakeholders on system enhancements and ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Prior experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or a commercial in-house corporate finance role is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/HKFRS and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle).
• Fluency in English and Mandarin is required.
• Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and/or Korean is a strong advantage depending on location.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) or active pursuit thereof is preferred.
• Experience in financial services, private equity, or investment holding structures is preferred.
• Exposure to group consolidation and intercompany accounting is beneficial.
