Job summary

Complex is seeking a Director, Event Operations to lead the planning, production, and delivery of flagship events across Asia. You will oversee strategy, budgeting, vendor management, and on-site execution for ComplexCon, pop-ups, concerts, and cultural experiences.

You are a strategic leader with 8+ years in large-scale events, adept at cross-functional teamwork, government relations, and delivering safe, on-budget experiences that delight diverse audiences. English and Chinese fluency required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in large-scale event management, live entertainment, festivals, or exhibitions.
• Experience managing events with large budgets and audiences.
• Experience collaborating with international brands, agencies, and talent.
• Strong ability to lead teams and manage high-pressure decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of flagship events across Asia, including ComplexCon, Family Style, concerts, pop-ups, and exhibitions.
• Oversee venue management, production, security, crowd management, hospitality, and on-site execution.
• Manage multi-million-dollar event budgets, RFPs, vendor negotiations, and supplier relationships.
• Lead government relations, subsidy applications, permits, and regulatory approvals.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across production, partnerships, marketing, finance, and legal.
