Job summary

OceanBase is seeking an experienced pre-sales Solutions Architect in Hong Kong to drive the global expansion. You will be the database SME, discuss modelling, migration and performance testing with customers, and lead PoC projects to validate OceanBase capabilities.

You will engage prospects, gather technical requirements, propose solutions and collaborate with product, engineering and marketing to position OceanBase in the market. Travel across ASEAN and beyond is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a comparable field.
5+ years of experience in pre-sales or post-sales technical roles.
Strong communication and adaptability to communicate with customers independently.
Proficient in writing, analyzing and optimizing SQL (MySQL and/or Oracle).
Experience with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Be a subject matter expert on databases, discuss modelling, migration, performance testing and day-to-day operations with customers.
Facilitate introduction, discussion and demonstration of OceanBase’s technology, vision and value proposition with customers.
Engage and discover prospects’ pain points, business/technical challenges and identify how OceanBase can add value.
Run Proof of Concept projects with customers and support post-sale OceanBase implementation with delivery team.
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve OceanBase product and positioning in the market.
