Job summary

Ant Group in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Database Solution Architect to be the subject matter expert on relational databases, able to discuss database modelling, migration, performance testing and day to day operations.

You will work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server and OceanBase, lead PoC projects, and support post-sale OceanBase deployments. Cantonese is required; English proficiency is a plus in collaboration with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, MIS or comparable field.
• 5+ years in pre-sales or post-sales technical roles with databases.
• Native Cantonese; English proficiency preferred.
• Experience with MySQL/Oracle and other major DBs; cloud exposure.

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on relational databases, discuss modelling, migration, and performance testing with customers.
• Engage customers to identify pain points and propose technical solutions.
• Run PoC projects to validate OceanBase capabilities and support post-sale delivery.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Marketing to position OceanBase in the market.
