Job summary

DHL Express Hong Kong is seeking a Certified International Specialist in cargo operations at Chek Lap Kok. You will understand customer needs, ensure contractual execution, and optimize flight load planning across the network. You will work with global teams to maximize resource use and balance cargo weight and space.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, knowledge of DHL products, and the ability to adapt quickly under pressure while maintaining data accuracy in planning systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
• Experience in load planning and space optimization to maximize cargo space.
• Good knowledge of DHL products and processes including aircraft/truck specs.
• Strong decision-making abilities under time-sensitive conditions.
• Flexibility to adjust plans quickly in response to changing demand or disruptions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and ensure execution of contracts with regard to capacity access and prioritization of products.
• Implement optimization of flight load planning.
• Collaborate with global colleagues to optimize multi-leg movements and resource use.
• Maximize utilization of ACS capacity on DHL flown and trucking networks.
• Use load optimization software to balance cargo weight and volume and prevent overloading or unused space.
• Identify opportunities to enhance capacity optimization.
• Communicate with sales to provide visibility into cargo space and discuss overbookings.
• Monitor daily flight capacity and cargo load factors and adjust in real time.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting cargo operations.
